Hall Bath

I recently took down the builder mirror in my hall bath and put up this mirror that I have had forever. I am not sure if I am really satisfied with the outcome. I was trying to make a change without spending any money. So I painted the standard light that was brass, brown you can see in the picture where I have some brown paint on the wall (oh well). It is okay but when I can find one on sale I plan to change the fixture out. After removing the mirror there was wallpaper behind it so I had to remove that and I painted the room with left over paint from another room in the house. It is really pretty similiar to what was there before. I did buy the pictures from Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off. I do somewhat like it but I believe my tastes change with the wind because now I am thinking of getting a more decorative mirror and painting the cabinets black. I am liking a more sleek look. Which would mean some $$$ so I will probably leave it like this for a little while. The curtains are some mistreatments (thanks Nester) that I did a while ago. I can see though that I did not do as good a job of hanging them as they were before I painted. You can't see the pleats very well. I will have to adjust those.
How about you? Have you painted your cabinets and if so how difficult was it to do?
Hope you have a great weekend.
Blessings,

Oh I am all about painting those cabinets black. I have a ton of black furniture (entertainment center, sideboard, bookcases, side table). I have bought the paint to paint the vanity in our master bath (creamy white); but I have not yet had the courage to get it done. I love that new mirror that you put up. Your bathroom looks GREAT!

I love those chair pictures...so cute! I think your cabinets would look great black. I've never done it before so I can't offer any tips. We put a mirror up in one of our guest bathrooms too. I'm too nervous to take down the huge builder grade mirror in the master though. :)

Hi Linda! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog. I'm not so great at the computer, but I did try to look for an e-mail address for you but didn't find one. If you could email me, that might be the easiest way for me to talk with you about ordering.

Thanks so much and God bless! :-)

I like the rich colors. I do love the chair pictures they are unique. When I lived in Texas, I was a Hobby Lobby addict. Sadly it is not here in the Northwest. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hey Linda!! Great redo of the mini bath! I love how you decorate, so homey and comfy yet decorator chic! Super!

I so wish we had a Hobby Lobby near us! :(

The bathrooms are the one area that I redo constantly, like 2 or 3 times a year. I keep all the stuff in bins in case I want to revisit a theme. LOL

The bath looks great! I would love to replace our sheet mirror with a pretty one. I think black cabinets would look great. Cute pictures and "mistreatment" too. :)

I think your bathroom looks fabulous!! I would never think to paint the brass light and I have one just like it (except silver) in our bath. That's a great idea.

I've never painted cabinets. I've seen great looking cabinets painted and I've seen poor looking painted cabinets. Good luck!!!

I love painted wood. It is a big discussion but I have no doubt with your style you will make the right one!

I love those chair prints. I'm in the (slow) process of painting my bathroom cabinets black, too! I think we'll need a support group before it's all said and done. Good luck!

My whole office furniture is black, with tan accents, I love it. Laurie

I think the mirror really looks great. More character than a builder's mirror.

And painting cabinets is easy and it really will look nice. Just take off the doors, sand, prime, paint. Presto!

Good luck!
