I love this first song on my blog... Word of God Speak by Mercy Me. If you have a minute just close your eyes and listen to the words. So many times I find myself talking waaaaaay tooooo much. When I really just need to stop and listen and take in all that the Lord has done for me. I have to laugh because there is a verse in Proverbs that I believe the Lord has in the Bible just for me.. I will have to find the reference but the verse is... Even a fool looks wise when he's quiet.
Have a great day!!
Blesssings,

Hey Linda,
I just popped over here after I saw your comment on JustABeachKat's blog.
As a mom of two boys I can relate to some of what you post on your blog (mine are almost 12 and almost 14...eek!)
I too am a "talker" and I know that even though God made me that way, that when I talk too much I miss out on what HE is trying to tell me.
When I first became a Christian my favorite verse was James 1:19, "You should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger."...it struck me that when I talk to much and anger too quickly that I never really hear anyone or anything else.
It is so nice to meet you! Stop by and visit in Mel's World for a bit if you get a chance! ;)
linda- I'm visiting from the Kari & Kijsa site and I read your comment about how you place your Christmas cards in a basket and pray for that person. We do something similar: each evening during the holidays we take turns (I have three sons) reading the cards that came in the mail that day. We then pass them around and pray for that person/family. God bless!
Beautiful song, beautiful words, beautiful photo!
Hugs!

Great post sis! I wish I knew how to be QUIET and LISTEN more not only to others but especially to God.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Sandy :)
I had two full days of peace and quiet (in my own home) last week, and it was wonderful to spend hours in solitude to hear from Him! My soul isn't thirsty anymore. =)
Happy New Year, Linda!

I love this song too Linda!! I am constantly re-learning when to listen and when to speak! :)
I'm gonna find that verse in Proverbs. So much for me too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Loved the pix of your boys....they are adorable.
Happy 2008~

I love this song too and have spent many a time with the Lord while listening to it.
God bless and Happy New Year,
Sue
Our father had a saying...not sure where it came from that said, "Better to close one's mouth and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt."....great post today!
Have a blessed day!

What a beautiful and profound message we often miss in our daily routine - I often talk too much when the Lord just wants me to Listen. I have really enjoyed browsing through your blog, and I will be back! Hope you have a wonderful New Year filled with the promise God gives, and the grace He provides. May I add you to my favorites?

And I have one SWEET daughter at the end. Oh yeah! I am blessed.
I LOVE that song and of course..."Mercy Me."
Your site is very calm and peaceful.....reflective. I like it. I'll be back to visit again.
Hang in there!
Be blessed,
