Want to wish many birthday blessings to my bil, Steven. He is married to my sister, Sandy, the creative one. He is a great dad and wonderful husband. He and my sister are a great team. We hope you have a great day!
I was folding laundry yesterday and happened to catch Beth Moore on TV. Something she said really caught my attention.
"All excess is rooted in emptiness" She went on to say that what ever we are doing in excess if it is not tended to with God it will become a stronghold. She filled in the excess blank with, eating, shopping, working, surfing the net, the blank could be filled with anything that anyone of us are dealing with. I dropped the towels and began to take notes. It was a timely word for me.
Blessings

Linda,
Here you go again with 'wise words'.
Thank you...
WOW!! Thank you for sharing that, as I sit here organizing the mounds of excess in our craft closet. ;) Thank you!
Wow, that's a good word right there! Thanks for sharing it.
Hi, Linda, thanks for stopping by to see me again. Glad to hear that you've been busy painting a light fixture too. It's so much fun to change them.
I just love Beth Moore...that girl has got it going on! She is so wise & has such a great walk with the Lord, I have learned so much from her. Going to see her in Sept. & can't wait!

Hugs!

Hey Sis,
Thanks for the birthday wishes for my hubby! We had a fabulous vietnamese lunch, sushi for dinner and ice cream cake from DQ!
Beth Moore is AWESOME! That statement really does make you stop and think doesn't it?
Have a great weekend! Love ya, San
Okay now, we ALL KNOW Sandy is talented and so creative, but you certainly don't give yourself enough credit. You are a gifted writer and communicator who so humbly and eloquently translates your thoughts into written word for the benefit of others. I'll end by saying Beth Moore is AWESOME and such an inspiration but so are you. Hugs ~ Kim
Oh thanks for sharing this...see I thought I just happen upon your blog this morning...duh, with God there are no coincidences!
Those powerful words will be posted on my refrigerator and in my closet. Your blog is a "bright light" in my sometimes "dim "world.
Well, hey there sister! I had no idea you were a bloggy mommy! Thanks for leaving me a note. How wonderful to reconnect. Thank you for your prayers for our recent trip to India and the homegoing of Craig's mom. It was a glorious trip in India. We taught 603 village woman for a whole week and saw God move in incredible ways. It was stunning to say the least to get a call while in India that Craig's mom had stepped from this life into the presence of the Lord. She had been ill for about 10 weeks and frankly we are grateful she is home with the Lord and reunited with Craig's dad, but it was a huge blow. Dealing with jet lag, a funeral, family in from out of town, a trip to Flordia for the graveside, and the closing up of her home has taken alot out of us,but God has been faithful. Thank you for checking in with me and please keep me posted on your sweet family. Blessings as you train them up in the ways of the Lord. In Him, jean stockdale
Linda,
I posted the broccoli recipe. As for the chicken... I buy that frozen at Trader Joes. (Cheater!)
Thanks for all your uplifting compliments today! You made my day.
